The Association which was establish as the first Chamber of Commerce and Industry i Budapest 1990, after the new chamber law trnsfer into an economic assosiation 1995. Te name of the assosiation was that time Budapest Tourism and Trade Development Assosiation. The present name of the BGE was changed in 2008
